Day 2 of 366 Let’s leap right into the crazy

Earthquake, a tsunami and a coast guard plane crashes into a passenger plane looks like 2024 in Japan began thankfully with minimal life loss considering all the events. ”Nostradamus’ forecasts were apparently right on the money with yet another apocalyptic prophecy just hours into 2024 — the New Year’s Day earthquake. Outlining his predictions for 2024, Nostradamus wrote, “The dry Earth will become more parched and there will be great floods. Psychic adherents claim that Nostradamus’ “dry Earth” prediction could be referring to the ongoing climate crisis, which has spawned an uptick in droughts and fires worldwide.” ~ Ben Cost of the NY Post.

There are lots of people who disregard prophecies. No one in recent times has said Nostradamus
is truly and malignantly crazy. Some would indicate he’s a real genius is for making the people around them think they’re crazy for taking every prediction to be set in stone. It’s a matter of choice like everything in life. No one actually believes the absurdity of it all or do they?

Look at how many people even when shown every possible detail when something happens, and yet, they still are skeptical like Donald Trump and the election of 2020. He has his supporters still claiming the election was rigged. Every re-count proved accurate but because the results didn’t change, it must be flawed.

And people think I’m crazy because I check my tarot cards before making major decisions.

But then those same skeptics are alright with AI helping them write papers, help with story plots and character development. But are they aware insurance companies are using AI to deny healthcare claims instead of using an underwriter or their in-house medical staff. In some cases, a doctor is over-ruled based solely on an AI decision. Crazy huh, that people will so readily accept artificial intelligence instead of their peers. Insurance companies count on us not challenging the decision because they don’t want their profit margins decreasing. Maybe, they should worry.

Harry Dent believes the crash of a lifetime is coming in 2024. People think he’s crazy because he says the stock market will go down 86% on the S&P. “Harry Dent Jr., the candid, controversial strategist, argues in an interview with Think Advisor.” No one believed we would have banks crashing either like what happened with the stock market and housing market crashes of 2008. Analysts trace the origins to the unprecedented growth of the mortgage market that began in 1999. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac made home loans accessible to borrowers who had low credit scores and a higher risk of defaulting on loans.

The majority of people don’t even remember Dent’s name but did you know he correctly predicted Japan’s 1989 bubble burst and recession, the dotcom crash and the populist surge that thrust Donald Trump into the presidency. I don’t want to know if he predicts Trump will be in office again.

Dent believes we need a recession. “This is the longest we’ve ever gone without a recession or a major stock market correction or crash to clear the decks and throw out the bad stuff so we can go into the next boom lean and mean,” says Dent. “The longer the boom, the more the overinvestment, zombie companies and debt. You have to wash out all the excesses.”~ Dent.

I guess it depends on how much crazy we’re being served in one day. “We’re all crazy, just in different ways.” according to Alex Michaelides and J.D. Salinger.

Anyway, if Dent is correct January will be weak on the exchange.
